SCULPTURE

My work in plaster is derived from equal parts of perseverance, chance, and catastrophe.

I push the work towards the edge of physical collapse, and in doing so examine the tension of strength against frailty.

I explore the many varied life choices and paths that we take – and the interactions between them all. The perfect outer facade that we present to all hiding the inner cracks of our fragility.
The sculptural pieces are simultaneously delicate and complex, revealing the vulnerability and strength, tenacity and brittleness of life.

My work challenges the audience to move closer and imagine the parts of the work that are not seen – to understand the inner world within, to look past the smooth veneer and recognise the underlying reality.
